FEZ ULTIKIT - [FEZ Accu Test]
FEZ Accu Test
Connecting the device to other hardware
The nice part about my circuit is you can connect it to different types
of circuits. You could connect it to a microcontroller (it has to support
I2C and an A/D input), the K8000 card, ...
- MICROCONTROLLER. connect: the GND to the ground of the
microcontroller, the SCL/SDA to the respective SCL/SDA inputs, the analog
output to one of the analog inputs of the microcontroller.
- VELLEMAN K8000. connect: the GND to the GND connection
at the side of the K8000, the SCL/SDA to the respective SCL/SDA inputs of this
connector, the analog output to one of the AD inputs.
Note: I am not going to do research on how to control this circuit through
a K8000 card as I am using my FEZ board as the interface. But it is possible. period.
Connecting the device to my FEZ
I decided to use my FEZ Panda II to control this device. You need to
create three connections between the device and the FEZ Panda: SCL/SDA and
the analog output.
- The FEZ has two ports for the SCL/SDA connections. If you own the FEZ
Connect module you can simply use cables with JST3AA connectors for the
connections: the SCL/SDA connectors are on this module.
- The analog output has to be connected with one of the analog inputs on
the FEZ. I have used the analog connection An2 for the job.
